Sweat and body odour are a totally normal
occurrence! But if store bought deodorants arent really working for you or if youre looking
for a natural alternative for when you dont exactly smell like a bed of roses, here are
5 all natural ways for a quick fix! Mix 2 tbsp of baking soda and 2 tbsp arrowroot
powder with 2-3 tbsp of coconut oil and add in your favourite essential oils. We chose
rosemary and peppermint since rosemary is antibacterial and antiseptic while peppermint
is cooling and refreshing. The coconut oil is antifungal and wont let your skin dry out
while the baking soda gets rid of odours and the arrowroot powder absorbs moisture.
Let the mixture set in the fridge and then apply a small amount to your underarms as
an alternative to stick deodorants. Apple cider vinegar has tons of benefits for
your body both inside and out! This miracle all purpose ingredient helps
balance the ph level of the body and kills any odour causing bacteria.
Soak a cotton pad in some apple cider vinegar and apply it to your underarms a few minutes
before entering the shower for an odour free day! Did you know you can customize your own totally natural body mist?
Just mix together ¼ cup of boiled water with 15-20 drops of any essential oils. We chose 10 drops of lavender
for its relaxing and therapeutic scent mixed with 10 drops of grapefruit for its antibacterial properties
and citrus scent. Carry these with you in a spray bottle and
use it all over your body to smell amazing! Just remember to shake well before use. If youre not a fan of heavily scented talcum powder or the chemicals they may contain this
fix is for you! Baking soda is known to neutralize odours
and while cornstarch is extremely absorbent and soaks up moisture and sweat.
Mix 1 spoon of baking soda with 6 spoons of cornstarch and dust this powder in sweat prone
places as an alternative to deodorant or talcum powder for dry pits all day! Rose water and witch hazel have commonly been used as a natural toner on the face but they
can fix unpleasant underarms too! Rose water soothes and calms irritated skin
and witch hazel is a natural astringent so it shrinks pores to reduce sweating.
Just mix ¼ cup rose water with ¼ cup witch hazel. You can apply it with a cotton pad
or carry it with you in a spray bottle for freshness on the go!
