Graduating soon? Have you wondered what am I gonna do with my life. Can I have a job that pays well and that I
enjoy? How do I decide because they’re endless possibilities. But asking the right
questions you can start to narrow down your options. Jobs in healthcare are stable, but am I okay with the intense schooling and everything else that goes with it. Careers in construction and engineering
are building. But what kind of an engineer? Maybe I want to work with my hands
repairing or creating. The service industry is always in need of talented people, but
what hours would I work and how much money do they make? So many questions.
The Career Explorations Alliance or CEA is going to help you find the answers. CEA
connects students like you to professionals to do job shadowing, be a
mentor or your teacher can invite them into the classroom. It’s definitely a
bridge between you know, you having interest and somebody who can teach you about
because otherwise it’s not like I can go walk in to the pharmacy. Say, “Hey I’m going to
follow you around for day”. Because they won’t let you do that. The support of generous corporate
sponsors. Your schools able to make this free for you. This is something more students need to
be aware of to figure out what they want to do. More than a thousand students have
already taken advantage of this. Talk to your teacher or counselor and ask how you
can participate in CEA.
